Residential Treatment Programs
Youth Care of Utah offers a continuum of care for adolescents ages 11-18 who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems including depression and thought disorders, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and/or drug and alcohol abuse. We offer residential treatment programs including dual diagnosis treating a combination of several mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
Youth Care Residential Treatment Center offers an intensive continuum of care. Youth Care is located in Draper, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. This program is for adolescent boys and girls between the ages of 11-18. Youth Care's strengths are the small size (14 students) and strong therapeutic program. As part of this strong therapeutic program, students at Youth Care receive three individual therapy sessions per week, five group therapy sessions per week, a family therapy session each week, and a psychiatric visit each week. Students also participate in an accredited school program, recreational therapy, behavior modification, and if necessary, substance abuse counseling. Youth Care is also a psychiatric residential treatment center addressing such issues as depression, anxiety, and self-injurious behavior. The cost for this program is $480* per day. Many times this cost is covered by health insurance or there are student loans available. Please confirm the current daily rate with an Admissions Counselor.
Day Treatment Programs provide the same therapeutic program as their respective residential programs,' however, students live with families at night and on weekends. Therapists support families as they implement family rules, provide important feedback, and rebuild their family dynamics. Students in this program attend from 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday. This program allows students to apply the new principles they are learning in treatment to their home and daily living situations. Day treatment at Youth Care is $380* per day.
Transition Home Programs is an option for students to live with a licensed foster care family within the community and attend Youth Care during the weekday. This program is designed as an extension of our residential program for students who need a realistic transition before returning home to their families. Again, students continue to receive therapeutic support throughout this placement but are given extra privileges and opportunities to implement newfound therapeutic skills and self-management techniques. Please contact an Admissions Counselor for the Tranisiton Home Program tuition rate.
The above rates include all therapy sessions, psychiatrist visits, academic program, recreational activities and room and board. Many insurance companies will pay for all or part of child's stay. If you are interested in insurance information, we would be happy to check your benefits without obligation.
