For more than 25 years, Youth Care has been a premier provider of life-changing services for adolescents, ages 11 to 17, who are struggling with substance abuse, addiction, and a wide range of mental health issues. At Youth Care, clinically superior care is provided in a comfortable, home-like environment where students can benefit from personalized interactions, close supervision, and comprehensive professional support.
To ensure that all students receive the type and level of care that is best suited to meet their unique needs, Youth Care provides the following services:
Residential: Residential treatment at Youth Care is a dynamic and highly personalized experience that features individual, group, family, and experiential therapies. Students who are enrolled in the residential program follow a highly structured and closely supervised schedule that includes both intensive clinical interventions and fully accredited academics. The residential program emphasizes respect, accountability, and responsibility, with students progressing through a level system that provides them with constructive feedback as they develop positive behavior patterns. The typical length of stay in the residential program is four to five months.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): In addition to residential treatment, Youth Care also offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for students who do not require the intensity of the residential experience. Students who participate in this day treatment option receive the same intensive therapeutic support and personalized academic instruction that is offered to students who are in the residential program. The primary difference between the residential and PHP options is that PHP students return home at the end of each treatment day, while the residential students live in on-campus accommodations.
Academics: Youth Care is committed to ensuring that each student has the support and guidance that he or she needs to achieve academic success both while enrolled at Youth Care and after he or she has returned home. To accomplish this objective, we provide a fully accredited academic program that is staffed by certified secondary education and special education teachers who have been specifically trained to teach and support adolescents who possess a range of learning abilities. All Youth Care students are provided with a full day’s instruction in a traditional academic setting from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Also, academic objectives are included in all students’ individualized treatment plans.
At Youth Care, we understand the unique ways that substance abuse and mental health issues impact adolescents, and we are dedicated to providing thorough assessments and personalized care that reflects and addresses the specific needs of each young person who is entrusted into our care. We are committed to offering comprehensive therapeutic and academic support that is customized for each student, and we place a premium on ensuring that parents play an active role in their children’s treatment.
