Programs

For 30 years, Youth Care Treatment Center in Utah has been a premier provider of life-changing services for adolescents or teens who are struggling with substance abuse, addiction, and a wide range of mental health issues.

Programs Overview

At Youth Care, a provider of mental health and substance abuse treatment programs, clinically superior care is provided in a comfortable, home-like environment where students can benefit from personalized interactions, close supervision, and comprehensive professional support.

To ensure that all students receive the type and level of care that is best suited to meet their unique needs, Youth Care provides various services through our different treatment programs.

Residential Treatment Program

Residential treatment programs at Youth Care are a dynamic and highly personalized experience that features individual, group, family, and experiential therapies. Students who are enrolled in the residential program follow a highly structured and closely supervised schedule that includes both intensive clinical interventions and fully accredited academics. The residential program emphasizes respect, accountability, and responsibility, with students progressing through a level system that provides them with constructive feedback as they develop positive behavior patterns. The typical length of stay in the residential program is four to five months.

Partial Hospitalization Program

In addition to residential treatment programs, Youth Care also offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for students who do not require the intensity of the residential program experience. Students who participate in this day treatment program receive the same intensive therapeutic support and personalized academic instruction that is offered to students who are in the residential program. The primary difference between the residential and partial hospitalization program options is that students in PHP return home at the end of each treatment day, while the residential program students live in on-campus accommodations.

Academics

Youth Care, a treatment center in Utah, is committed to ensuring that each student has the support and guidance that they need to achieve academic success both while enrolled in our treatment programs and after they have returned home. To accomplish this objective, we provide a fully accredited academic program that is staffed by certified secondary education and special education teachers who have been specifically trained to teach and support adolescents or teens who possess a range of learning abilities. All Youth Care students are provided with a full day’s instruction in a traditional academic setting from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Also, academic objectives are included in all students’ individualized treatment plans.

I'm very thankful for the staff at Youth Care. Our son's therapist and his other counselors were fantastic. Everyone we dealt with was caring and very professional. They challenged our son just enough and knew when and how to encourage him and to push him just the right amount. If it wasn't for Youth Care, the chances are great that our son would have overdosed or be in jail by now.
