Romeo discovered his interest in psychology while in college, although he was already drawn to healing professions: “Honestly, when I first went to college my major was business.  I decided I wanted to help others so I changed to pre-med. My last 2 classes in the premed program were psychology courses.  This changed everything for me.”

As a clinician Romeo utilizes logo-therapy and believes in helping his clients find purpose. He also draws from DBT, client-centered, systems, existential and experiential theories as he helps clients and families find solutions and come together. He is described by his colleagues as someone who “pushes his kids and clients to excel” and is “very active” in their therapy.

Romeo was awarded an academic scholarship to McMurry University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology. He then attended graduate school at Hardin-Simmons University where he earned his master’s degree in counseling and human development. Romeo has served on a critical incident stress management team in Fremont County, CO and has been trained in crisis management and responses.
